Hi -

I am good. Soooooo busy in school. I graduate in July, but will apply for

another program that will start in September. If I get accepted there, it will

be another 18 months. I am doing very well and have been gluten free since

January 1st. I imagine I will be for life, too! I have found some amazing

recipes and resources, as the word is really getting out there about the dangers

of gluten. Are you still on the East Coast? Ever moving back to SF?

Take care,

Miaja**

Decaf or regular? I will admit it's my main vice, though it's loaded with

antioxidants too. I try to limit to 1 cup at most per day, and go without some

days, and only decaf other days. I also don't drink regular within 2 hours of

taking my thyroid pill (only decaf).

Hi Miaja - didn't know you were in school, or gluten-free. :) So we went GF

around the same time. Yes, there are a lot of great GF recipes out there, just

takes some experimenting. I am in Boston now - I have moved around a lot, but I

don't expect to move back west, though you never know. It is great being much

closer to my family here. How are your girls? I remember some health issues

there, but can't remember if it was Hashi's or something else? Hope your family

is doing great - nice to hear from you here.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi -

My girls are doing GREAT! 16 and 13 years old now. My oldest has hydrocephalus

and had another brain surgery early 2010, but has been great since. We just

took her to a Swift concert in San Diego for her 16th birthday. 3rd row

center! She caught Swift's guitar pick. So much fun! My 13 year old is

student body president and has big plans for her future. They are both going to

Capital Hill in June to speak about hydrocephalus. As you can see, we are a

busy family. I try to check in here once in a while, but it's difficult.

Gluten free is going well and I don't even care about candy or sugar anymore.

Glad to hear you are doing well, too.
