Guest guest
In the beginning, my Chiari headaches happened only when I coughed, sneezed, laughed, lifted, and bent over. Sometimes they would last for a few seconds, some would last for several minutes. Throughout the past several years the headaches got worse and would happen if I strained even just a little. For example, if I was in the grocery store after loading my cart pushing the weight of the cart would case me pain. Usually the pain would be at the base of my skull. At other times, it would be behind my eyes or at the front of my skull. However, usually it was at the base of my skull. When I had my decompression I was told that I had 7 holes in my dura and my skull had eroded due to the pressure. My tonsils were at 22 and 27. I feel much better after my decompression. So, for me it wasn't a head pain that lasted for days. It was head pain that happened only when I had pressure in my head. However, when I was sick, then my head pain was more constant. I hope this helps. in Edmond, OK
