Guest guest
my daugher is 15, some of you have chatted with her on Wed night chats. SHe has had decompress, tethered cord and redo fusion to c6. This is along with EDS. SInce she was a newborn she has had other issues, heart surgery, skull surgery, intestinal surgery, and the regular kid " surgeries " . SHe does not feel well again, her head is very lumpy due to screws and surgery and now uncomfortable. SHe has Deg disc disease, facet disease, scoliosis and possible osteo. We go back to NY in March?? When do they feel better? I don't want to keep giving her meds such as valium and percacet. She is very choosy as to when she takes these. I also don't want her to keep having surgeries if there is not guarantee of a better life. She would love to just go to school all day and be a " normal " 15 year old girl. What will happen in 10 years at only 25? It is horrible to deal with this conditon as an adult, what do we do for our kids to encourage them that maybe this could get bette? Sorry to vent, as I know we all have our struggles, but it breaks my heart to see people, at any age, struggle and not know if there is relief in sight.
