Guest guest
I have no idea of the medical profession's opinion on CoQ10.I did take it for a while when I was still extremely sick. I felt it did help with the horrible brain fog I had at the time. I personally didn't have any bad reactions to it and am about 50-50 on a drug or supplement giving me horrid side effects or not. I have toyed with the idea of taking it again this winter. (in SD) Anyway, I have a question... I was told my co q 10 is very low and it is suggested that I take co enzyme q 10 replacement 150 mg 2x per day and L-carnitine 1 gr per day in divided doses. I still haven't met a drug or supplement that likes me and am very afraid. However, I think this is important because I get lots of heart arrhythmias and this may help. Can anyone tell me if these are relatively safe supplements for those of us with Hashi's. Thanks very much. __._,_
Guest guest
the easiest way to find out where the problem comes from is by filling out dr. k.'s assessment forms. Of course regl. docs. don't know what to do with it. To: Thyroiditis From: cathylk@...Date: Tue, 23 Nov 2010 18:56:17 -0500Subject: co Q10 Hi, It's been awhile since I posted. I've had many health issues over the past year - in and out of hospital; it's hard to know if my Hashi's is the culprit or what is going on. i'm still fighting to figure all this out. I'm seen at least 20 doctors. Anyway, I have a question... Guest guest
are dr Ks assesment forms available to the public on the internet? thanks -Carol HI a lot of us w/ hashis are very sensitive to Everything cuz our liver and other body systems may not be working properly =including our 'stress sytsem.. currently goes by the name of " Adrenal Fatiuge " but AF is really about the ENtire stress system and all the sterss 'chemical's both stress hormones and stress neurochemicals that our Sympathetic Nervous system uses to do its jobs -also have you tested your full direct Iron panels as well as Ferritin?? most of us Hashis/hyptos must have a ferritin between 70 - 90 (the Labs' " Normal " range starts at an absurdly low 10 or SOme such range... = ferritin and iron must be optimal in order for our cells to utilize the thyroid hormones. and you should also test Cortisol via ZRT Labs website; pharmacy PRovider zipcode finder = Order them yourself! 24 Hour Cortisol Saliva test (4 x day) as cortisol must not be too high or too low or will affect our abilty to make and utilize thyroid hormones. (also the cortisol and entire 'stress system affects our Autoimmune and immune system procesess. -Carol > > > > the easiest way to find out where the problem comes from is by filling out dr. k.'s assessment forms. Guest guest
I never had mine tested (didn't know you could), but I take CoQ10 once daily and would not want to go a day without it. It got rid of my heart palpitations - I feel so much better. Maybe if you just try the fast absorption CoQ10 you don't need to take both of those - not sure what the other thing is..? http://www.puritan.com/coenzyme-q-10-055/q-sorb-co-q-10-100-mg-015593?NewPage=1 ~ > > Hi, > It's been awhile since I posted.
