Guest guest
_Note:_ the product mentioned in this article is simply that a product. I received no compensation for mentioning it here. It is simply what I use. Greetings: In answer to your question right now I'm using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7 this is the standard version. The reason I use dictation software is that I have a disability called Exotropia with convergence insufficiency. Basically, this means my eyes do not coordinate together and I have a tendency to make lots of mistakes. I first discovered this disability when I was in my early twenties. Because of this I couldn't work in any field that required speed and dexterity at the same time, cause I couldn't produce the amount of work and employer needed for profitability. I ended up working throughout my career in various jobs where a person received less money. I have trained the software to my voice and it works fairly well. When it comes to pricing I have yet to purchase this software from the company. Every time I've upgraded I've usually bought my next version on eBay. For example right now there are auctions going where Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8 is being sold for prices that very from seven to 14 pounds in the United Kingdom to $7 dollars and on up in US currency. You mentioned something about a drawl and adjusting by use of a technician. I have found that at least with Dragon 7 that I do all the adjusting. The software responds to my voice and yes it is not perfect but it is better than typing all the time. If I had to type long messages by hand my whole upper neck and shoulders seize up creating severe pain. My left arm eventually goes numb and it can also fall asleep. I hope this answers your questions, if you have any more please write. As one of several moderator's I except your thanks for all of the work we all do.
