Guest guest
Dear Diane, Thanks for responding to this. I thought it was just dumb me (totally not technical) that kept freezing the portable Helios. Initially, I tried releasing the latch and for me, it froze up worse. My oxygen provider told me not to do that. I was telling them that you need two helios units - one as a backup. Another issue for me is that since I'm at four liters, I would run through the little unit fairly quickly. It's a hard system to figure out how much oxygen you have left - no neat little gauges that tell you how much you have used. A unit that was supposed to last two hours lasted only 40 minutes while I was on my walk and I had to call someone to pick me up ! I HATE that. I am switching back to the gas tanks. We did that on this weekend jaunt and just brought the bottles up with us. Tiny bit of a hassle and a heavier unit, but I had peace of mind knowing how much oxygen I had. Also, Peggy, if you are reading this - could you tell me your experience with the portable oxygen concentrator? Apria is looking for one for me because my insurance provider said they would cover the rental charge. I think it would work for me here at work and when we go on car trips, but I'd like to hear about your experience. Or anyone elses experiences with oxygen. I'm so durn frustrated. thanks Leanne ipf 1/03 __________________________________________________
