Guest guest
Hello all, Well I used my nocturnal oximeter last night. It was really something to have this device hooked up to my finger. It was not too bad to sleep with. I am hoping that this will shed some light on why I am waking up with headaches every morning. This device was used in Lieu of the sleep study since my insurance refused the request by my Doctor. Now I have to get my sputum sample into the Lab since it is coming on six weeks soon. It is nice to finally have some questions answered. I do know now that I have the gene associated with CF. My mother agreed to do some genetic testing as well if there needs to be more done. Just to see if she has it or is just a carrier. I hate to put her through the bloodtesting but, she was so gracious in agreeing to this. She told me well you are my daughter and I want to help you. I have a most wonderful Mother. She even apologized for me being born with this. I told her mom how would you have even known. Back in 1964 when I was born, testing for lung diseases like this was not the advanced science that it is now. It is funny the Doctors told my mother that I just had a cold. My mom said that I was ill alot as a baby. I think that it would be helpful to have my mom come with me to give further info to my Pulmo Doctor as well. He will be able to fill in the blanks about my Bronch from there. I am just greatful that I am finally getting my questions answered. Oh and a very happy May day to all of you. in good health nyzki
