Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I went to the NYU Medical Center Pain Management Clinic yesterday and was treated like a drug addict and criminal because I want pain medicine.... I was prescribed Oxycodone and a drug called Avinza which is a timed release morphine sulfate drug. The Avinza is extremely expensive and I had a very difficult time finding a pharmacy who even knew what it was. Anybody here used Avinza? Anyway, I had to fill out all kinds of forms and release forms and the clinic has to ask info from all of my current physicians so as to determine whether or not I am a junkie... People in chronic pain have a very difficult time trying to convince people that they are not crazy and they actually need pain medications. Just venting... Guest guest
Vent away ... See I said they are Jackasses for want of a better word. And believe me I can say the word just not in mixed company lol. I got sleeping pills for pain lol. Soft hugs and gentle kisses, Tami
Guest guest
A cheaper alternative to Avinza is MS Contin. Long acting morphine sulfate, but taken more often than Avinza or Kadian.
