Jeanie -

Please let me preface what I'm about to say with the statement that I believe PEG 3350 (or breakdown products) must be able to leave the walls of the GI tract and enter the blood stream - I believe this based on a study showing recovery of PEG in the URINE of patients administered ORAL PEG.... It had to get from the GI tract, to the kidneys in some way. . . (http://www.ncbi. nlm.nih.gov/ pubmed/16456758)

BUT, this would *not* occur via osmosis. By definition, osmosis refers to the movement of water across a semipermeable membrane. Osmosis only refers to the movement of water.

So, the PEG must be leaking out of the GI tract via leaky gut or other transport process. The point that it is possible for PEG to leave the GI tract may have been what s/he wanted to make, but if a physician actually used the word osmosis in referring to the movement of the PEG, that was a poor choice of words on his/her part.

best,

ago, when we tried this new product, it changed our life. It got rid of the last bit of Miralax he

Many times our own behavior and hormones can affect the kids in a very dramatic way, we need to be very careful of our emotions and actions around the kids, and it CAN affect their bowel movement and many other things.ÂÂÂ

None of us are scientists here who specifically study the Miralax and know for sure the true affects on our body (although I wish so). Every medicine is being absorbed by our body and I believe in that, even our skin absorbs many chemicals into our blood stream each day. However, what kind of effects it has on us is hard to measure, and some scientists are studying that. Today, there are so

much chemicals in the things we use, we eat and drink. Did you know there are
