Guest guest
Friends it is with great sadness I write to say that shortly after 1 PM today a terrible storm hit Dryden and took down 80+ years of history. Our big barn is gone along with 6 of my sheep. It did have the good sense not to fall in the direction of Hank's newly restored M37. We managed to save 12 sheep with the help of friends, neighbors, family, and the Dryden Fire Dept. (the stupid goat was in the dog house at the time). Of course the barn was full of furniture which is pretty much a total loss also. It will be a story to tell my grandchildren providing I survive the clean up. The ironic part is that I haven't eaten since 11 am (lentils & rice), had maybe 4 oz of pop (I know not on program) in the maylay and when I took my bg at 10 PM it was 244. I stink, am filthy and exhausted and very hungry and my bgs are still high. You would think the reading would have been much lower. Now confusion is really setting in. Carolyn D.
