Guest guest
I read some posts earlier but didnt pay close enough attention as I should have. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be MOST grateful!! About a month ago my Primary Doc's (staff) called to say that the blood drawn at my last visit showed that the kidneys werent working right. It made perfect sence at the time because I had been having so much dizziness that I had weaned those off completely (Zanaflex). Then I thought about the 2400mg of Neurontin that I take every day. Sooooo, I did not get a docs orders but I cut them in half on day one and just stoped it all. My psyche has told me several times that Neurontin doest give hangovers or side effects. Well, I dont know what happened, here I am with detox. I expected it and was prepared but it only seemed to get worse. Six days into it and now I could not stand of sit without a hugh heat rush, worsening headache, seeing stars, sweating, collapsing, etc. Well, they thought it was dehydration but it wasnt. I finally got out and they told me to follow up with my primary. Well first of all my primary cant really due shit because of the symptoms, it is a low income clinic, they do not have the high dollar machines. So anyway, I came back to Moms and was just a bit dizzy and shaky, my grandparents actually stayed the night and came in to check on me all night. OK, got over that then went to OU for the PN appt which went fabulousy. I was still dizzy and had a headache etc but I figured it would just take time for everything to settle, not lol. On Thursday I wound up back at the ER and they started fluids too, gave me valium, trying to get my heart rate and bp down (hr was 124) So, My Neuro wasnt availble so I had to meet with one of his associates. What a dick. Long story short, he released me. I continued to be dizzy, uncoordinated, my left arm and head were twitching, and my speaking just went to shit. They said the MRI was fine. He said there was nothing wrong with me neuro wise and that he felt I was making my body do that. Went home, the next day called for a neuro appt but they are backep up to. I have one for next friday but if they can move me up they will they did suggest that I be taken to the ER due to my symptoms being so stroke like. So we were in ER again last night. Sigh...My bp was 187/98 hr was 140, wtf?? Well, he looked at my reports and said that for tonight there was nothing they could do really, they gave me some drugs to get the bp and pulse down and I was to call the Neuro for an appt. They didnt run anymore tests exept some blood work. Then without looking at my spine they gave me the dx of Possible Somtaform disorder. Now, I am not suggesting that it may not be that but I would feel much better with that dx if they had done a full spine mri and possibly a lumbar tap. What if I have a syrinx or something causing this? Anyway, it puts me in a hard place, if I complain and insist that it is something else, that just feeds into their Psych dx. It' strange, 2 docs say its Psyche and my Psyche says it is medical. When I see the neuro He is supposed to rule out MS and MG. I was tested for MS last year but the head scan was fine, no lesions. This MRI showed 3 lesions, 2 frontal and one parietal. Not sure what that is about but they do not seem concerned about it. Problem is I still do not have my speech back, still dizzy, still unbalanced, nausea, high hr & BP etc. During the hospitalization my left side was out of it, could barely lift my arm up at all but for now it just gets tired real easy. I dont know what the hell is going on. I am embarrassed to speak to anyone except immediate family. I cant write, well I can but it looks like a first graders. I know I have read instances of others going through stroke like symptoms, could you please repost and let me know what they found out and how they fixed it??
