Major Civil Rights Organization Organizing in Alief, Texas

I have been asked to lead an organizing effort in Alief, Texas for a national civil rights organization.

We are working on the details for creating a co-chairmanship for the organization in Alief.

Needing to bring 2-3 organizers to the table for the Alief area, on the first evening, I had commitments from 15 persons with each of them contacting additional particpiants.

Lawyers, teachers, administrators, hall monitors, pastors, paraprofessionals, business owners, and others are joining together to address concerns over employment, promotions, recruiting, board, and administrator actions.

Alief is changing. Participating in the Alief ISD for minority workers and students is changing.
