November 15th—7:00 to 9:00 PM, “Autism in the Family: Dynamics and Supports†Presented Shaw, Ph.D., of The Monarch Institute for Neurological Differences, and hosted by Katy Autism Support. Dr. Shaw will engage families and caregivers in a lively, informative and supportive dialog on the impact of autism on family dynamics. Drawing from recent research, expert opinions, and a broad sampling of family experiences, Dr. Shaw will discuss ways that autism often affects family members and relationships, with emphasis placed on practical ways parents and siblings can work together and individually to enhance family functioning. Dr. Shaw currently serves as Director of The Monarch Diagnostic Clinic in Houston, TX, where he continues to serve families of people with autism spectrum disorders as he has for the past 25 years. Meeting will be held at St. ’s United Methodist Church, 20775 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77450.
