Guest guest
Hi guys, I just got my MRI report from the hospital today.......I know I have to wait till I see my neurologist to get the full jist of whats going on, and he does need to compare MRI's and x-rays and such and maybe he has other ideas and thoughts and knowledge of what he is finding and looking at, that maybe the radiologist missed etc.. Is that possible ??? for a radiologist to miss something ?? Anyway....I'm confused on two things that were " found " on the old MRI and x-rays (done at Mayo Clinc) and apparently not " found " on this new MRI and x-rays. On the old MRI and x-rays they found 2 hemivertabra in the cervical and thorasic area....there is no mention of this on the new one. They do say I have " block vertabrae with congenital fusion at C6, C7, and T1 " I'm not so sure vertabra can just grow and become whole if you are born with only half, huh ???. On the old MRI they found a syrinx in the cervical area....no syrinx found on this one !!! That is good !!! Can a syrinx dissappear ??? Can it come back ??? one more question !! I have no idea what this means...... " .Apparent soft tissue or bony encroachement on the spinal column or on the cervical cord noted. " In the past couple of weeks I have been feeling movement of something in my cervical area and when whatever it is moves or shifts I hear crunching, scraping noises and a big pop......when it does this I get an extremely sharp pain, a shooting pain and then instant severe headache with visual blurryness, and blackness that creeps in and creeps back out. I'm wondering if any of this could cause the problems I'm having ??? If not......I'm back to square one !!! This is soooo exasperating !!! Just being curious Sam ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/chiari - Simplifying group communications
