Sad but VERY true!

Yes if we all came together & found a way to fight Big Pharma our lives would be healthier & safer. These companies are willing to let people die for profits.

It takes tens of millions of dollars to develop new drugs, Research & Development is where this money is spent & these companies have to show huge profit as well. This is why the Big Pharma lobbyists are so powerful in Washington. Lots os money & gifts are changing hands.

Let's think about this, do you ever hear on the news that Congress or the Senate has any legislation regarding Big Pharma or Health Insurance companies.

I am so depressed, I just had a colonscopy today. As I am constipated I know I need to do more to clean out. I did 5 days of liquid only, 3 days of laxative. The first day I did 2 Pico Salex and the next 2 days 1.5 bottles each of magnesium citrate. The scope showed quite a bit of stool left in my colon. I am at my wits end what to do about this and I wonder if in some way this contributes to my nausea and vomitting. I wonder if the GI doctor was right. The scope could still get all the way through.I just don't quite know what the solution is. I cannot eat properly so am not nourished right - I don't know what will clean me out. I use Milk of Magnesia and have excellent bowel movements so there is a problems somewhere.Rae

As a matter of fact, yes, Mitt described this in last nights debate in a dig against NewtTo: miralax Sent: Tue, January 24, 2012 4:45:01 PMSubject: Re: disheartened Lillu & Carol

Well, the Health Care Insurance Reform was one, I suppose, but without the Public Healthcare Insurance option (what Blue Cross/Blue Shield used to be before they became privatized), cost will not come down any time soon, although coverage will be more ubiquitous and perhaps more fair.Big Pharma should be put on the radar.... Not Healthcare Reform, if you want to call it that, since it was so watered down by Congress, health insurance companies being held accountable for not covering "pre-existing conditions", or treatments that are "experimental" i.e., bone marrow transplant that they denied a young girl in California, when her parents fought them & the insurance company finally agreed to cover the treatment it took so long the girl died.

What concerns me is that it's logical that there should be a 'best practice'

database that practitioners can reference -- and this was a talking point in

healthcare reform. In a perfect world this would be correct -- but in our world

the system is so corrupted by money that big pharma has been able to skew the

whole process. So now we have a health insurance industry that will only pay

for a $4000 procedure because it's an approved procedure for xxx diagnosis --

but in Europe, for example, they suggest a 60 prescription for enzymes

(basically a 'natural solution') before a surgical option is considered. Here

-- no 'proof' that enzymes work - so not approved. So, we get a healthcare

system that pays $4000 instead of $40 and we wonder why our heathcare costs are

so high. Frustratingly stupid!

not mainstream and tested.  When I went to the Mayo Clinic from up here in

Canada they did a test and diagnosed my breathing problem but my doctors here

do not do that test.  Result of that is they do not believe the Mayo’s

diagnosis.

Since there has been no other cases that had that problem and that surgery,

resulting in breathing problems, they refuse to say the breathing is the result

of the tumour and surgery.
