Guest guest
I remember calling Phoenix's Children's hospital after they prescribed glycolax (generic form of Miralax) asking should I really give this to him? He was 1! They said yes, and I said but it is an adult dose. They said it was okay. I am so incredibly angry at myself that I gave it to my son for 4 years!!! It was awful and we thought he was screaming (and I mean screaming) because he was constipated. So, of course, we would give him more. They told me to up the dose as needed -That even if he was having normal BM, he could still be constipated. UGGGH!When are you submitting everything to the FDA?Joanna I asked my Pharmacist what the proper dose was for a 30lb child because at the time they told me to give 17grams and upped the dose to 24. This is when we saw a severe reaction. According to his calculations, the proper dose should have been about 3 grams. Please have your pharmacist check everything.
