Years ago, I had one officer run a Wyoming plate " 1-2-3 A-B-C " . When I

couldn't get a return and asked that he provide VIN, he said " The plate has

a bronc rider symbol between the 1-2-3 and A-B-C, you might need to add it. "

You know those really incredulous looks that dispatchers sometimes gives the

radio speaker, yet it's not the radio speakers' fault? Well, I did that and

then told the officer that my keyboard doesn't come with a bronc rider

symbol and to provide the VIN.

Now when the officer came in I asked him if we ran Texas plates with the

State of Texas symbol that on each plate. " no " " Then why would we run

Wyoming bronc rider symbols???? "

I wasn't aware that New Hampshire used + symbols.....must be a yankee

thing....:-)

I've been dispatching for over 10 years (in New England) and never ran

across those symbols. Also been going to New Hampshire for the races the

past 6-7 years and never saw those kinds of plates until this past

weekend. Seems like no one had them last year and now everyone has them!

I don't think I'd would have ever been able to run them if I hadn't brought

it up here on the list.
