Guest guest
Hi Marcie, I was using the Mannatech products both for me and my wife...It cost over $700.00 a month for the two of us. I have since found the following recipe to make the powder.........For $30.00 a month !!!Things are tough enough for MS'ER'S without this financial burden Regards & thank you. Tom Glyconutrient Powder Here are the powders, the glyconutrients they contain and the ratio for consumptiom (the ratio is by volume, not weight and are offered as a guide only): *1 part ground fenugreek: mannose, galactose ($6/1lb@ http://www/mountainroseherbs.com/bulkherb/k.php I have bought mine off ebay for 2/lbs for $7.00 much cheaper *1 part shitake mushroom powder: N-acetyglucosamine, mannose. $23.16/1lb the most expensive ingredient, and the cheapest I have found. http://healthplanet.com/hph-menglish.html with shipping=$35.41 *1 part kelp powder (Undaria pinnatifida): fucose, xylose, mannose, galactose, and glucose. $6/1lb http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/bulkherb/k.php-orderedw/fenugreek $17.75 Again I bought mine off ebay $7.00 for 2lbs plus $5.00 shipping *1 part whey protein isolate: N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid). ($28/5lb (5.60perlb) http://www.easycart.net/BeyondACenturyInc./Protein_Meal_Replacement.h tml *1 part bovine or shark cartilage chrondroitin sulphate powder (loose or in capsules): N-acetyglucosamine,N-acetylgalactosamine. 750mg caps-100/$7 http://www.doctortrust.com Again I bought mine off ebay for $5.00 a bottle w/free shipping included. *1/2 part of ground psyllium to boost the xylose content as there is not that much in kelp.($12.10/1lb) http://www.blessedherbs.com Again I found a better price on ebay at $3.42 1lb shipping was free. *I also add 1 part of lecithin granules as information suggests that it dramatically increases the asborption of the glyconutrients. $4.98/1lb http://www.bodybuilding.com/cgi-bin/sb/order.cgi shipping is $3.99=$8.87total *1/2 tsp of manapol: manose inner aloa plant $18.00 100gm jar http://www.betterlife.com *1/2 tsp Arabinogalactan powder: Inner larch tree extract I bought mine off ebay for $14.00 a 100gm jar. but here is another source someone bought it at for $16.00 a 100gm jar, http://www.fubaohealthstore.com I am currently mixing all powders together with a little cayenne pepper powder to enhance digestion and extra tonic (1/10-1/20th part) I also add tumeric powder due its great antioxidant properties. Take small amount, I started out with teaspoon amounts and went from there. I use a half cup to measure with, and add ingredients to a flogers coffee plastic red can, and shake it to mix it well. The shark cartillage I take in capsules, one a day. I also add to the smoothie mix 1200mg of buffered Vite-C, and Super greens, about a half scoop, any product, and about 2tsp. I mix it each morning in a blender, I like langers pineapple/coconut juice sometimes I add frozen pineapple or a frozed banana, makes it very tastful that way. Please feel free to print and send this to anyone who wants it. I have stopped using the glyco jam as it is just to time consuming for my schedule. But this is the basic recipe, add or subtract from it what you want, and mix to your desired taste. I would encourage everyone to shop around for the best prices they can find for any of the ingredients as all places and qualities are not the same. My qualm with it or anything else is the preying on people who most likely are desperate/depressed and leading them to believe that it's a 'miracle' of some kind. Ambrotose was most definately not a miracle for me, even at triple doses, but did get into my pocketbook! I recommend it highly for anyone not in a desperate situation. Speaking for myself, the disappointment can be devastating. As for your integrity, keep on keeping on! You help so many with your insight! Guest guest
One post talks about Mannatech products not being tested and another post includes a home-made recipe with no evidence that it even produces a similar quality product with equal(or any) health benefits. It may cost less for these ingredients, but scientific research isn't exactly cheap. The author has even given up on her original concoction because of time restraints. How good can this be? Let us know if it works. > Hi Marcie, > I was using the Mannatech products both for me and my wife...It cost over $700.00 a month for the two of us.
