Guest guest
At first I was doing the sublingual stuff but felt it wasn't giving me what I needed. So I went and started the shots. I go into my dr. once a month get a shot pay 10 bucks and I have 100000000 x's more energy than I did a day ago it kicks in for ME fairly quick. Love, Theresa ~You grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself~ *Ethel Barrymore* B-12 shots When my neuroligist did my blood work as he does every three months because of the Topamax and celexa that i'm on, he found out that my B- 12 was very low. He prescribed for me the B-12 shots. They are in " single serving " (lol) lil bottles and I give my self the shot every two weeks or once a month he said what ever I felt I needed. It really helps because you don't have to worry about trips to the doc for the shot alone. Maybe you can ask your doc to prescribe them for you, it is a piece of cake you just give it in the muscle and it really doesn't hurt when you do it for yourself....have a nice night everyone, I will be working unpacking tomorrow again so I will catch up on posts tomorrow evening....love to you all, your the best!...annee To Subscribe to 's weekly FREE Newsletter send an email to GBCookbook-subscribe@... Guest guest
Theresa: When I get the shots they kick in pretty quickly. I swear I notice a difference within a couple of hours. It's just that after two weeks I get so tired and worn out. I'm just going to have to convince the doctor to give them to me more frequently or something. Guest guest
Kathy - Sometimes I don't think anyone can be as much a wimp as I am but I think I might be able to learn to do the shots. I'll just aim the needle and close my eyes. ))

Guest guest
B12 shots do have to be prescribed by either your surgeon or primary care physician.. you cant just by b12 over the counter in injectable form. Guest guest
Tracey - I've been on amytriptalene for sleep purposes as well. It will help you sleep, but it is also known for it's side effects such as making you crave sweets and thusly putting on weight. I have fibromyalgia so taking something for sleep is necessary. My doctor changed me from the amytriptalene to Trazadone, which works the same for sleep without the cravings for sweets. It sounds strange to me that your doc would say you have to wait 2 years before getting B-12. Our malabsorption problems begin immediately after surgery. You may want to seek a 2nd opinion on this.
