This innovative program uses therapy dogs as the tool for practicing social skills, learning about dogs and having fun. Club participants will have the option of joining a research study that is being conducted by the Autism Project at the University of Texas at Austin. This program is ideal for students who are on the high functioning/asperger’s end of the spectrum. Ages 11 – 15 on Wednesday Evenings, Starting 9/28 5:45 – 7:15 Careers with Dogs Ages 8 - 10 on Tuesday Evenings, Starting 10/4 5:45 – 7:15 All about Dogs The fee is $300 per session of 8 classes, each 1 1â„2 hours long. There are a min. of three instructors for each group of 10 children. A limited number of scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program thru their school.
