; Dalace-Skye Duvall ; Rae Avolio Sent: Saturday, July 23, 2011 12:50 PMSubject: Blue Skyes Over Autism Auction and Charity Event August 28thBlue Skyes Over Autism is hosting a Fundraising event to benefit our annual Autism on the Seas Cruise out of Galveston each Spring. The 2012 Cruise is scheduled for March with Carnival. It takes us a full year to raise the funds necessary to provide 20 families with this vacation. It is the only true vacation an autism family gets, because Autistic children do not travel well, except for cruising. They seem to bond immediately with the ship and the ocean, and for seven days the children live very happy, all thanks to contributions from you, your employers and friends. Individuals with Autism require 24-7 care and many of these families don’t have a supervised environment for their children which allows the entire family to recharge their batteries similar to the environment that Autism on the Seas provides. Our Sunday, August 28th Fundraising event is at Texas Saloon in Pasadena from 2pm –7 pm. Blue Skyes Over Autism families and Skyeward Bound Ranch are working very hard to obtain auction items that the Houston community will love. So please come out and show your support on Sunday, June 5th from 2-7 pm. It is so much fun and excitement, plus good food, good music, a great time at Texas Saloon. (Please note that there are no children under 21 allowed in Texas Saloon because of the Pasadena Club ordinance.) If you cannot make it to the event, perhaps you will consider donating online through our website with PayPal. We’re grateful for every dollar you give on behalf of Autism families in the Bay Area. To donate, please follow the

Blue Skyes Over Autism link. http://blueskyesoverautism.com/index.html Please forward this e-mail to anyone that you feel might want to attend the benefit or make a donation online to help these children and families living with Autism. Thank you so much to those of you who came out last time. A great time was had by all and we sincerely appreciate your support. Here’s a couple of links to heartwarming videos made from a June 2011 cruise that featured Autism the Musical onboard the ship. Many of the autistic children performed onstage in front of the ship’s passengers. The folks at Autism on

the Seas are a Godsend to these families.

Congrats to Flynn on her inspiring performance!!! The bonding and integration back in to society for these families are equally important when they occur in events onboard the ships or a benefits like the one we are holding on August 28th. It warms all our hearts that others like you care. AlanPresident, Blue Skyes Over Autism
