Be sure to check them all out because you definitely will not want to miss out on all the fun! October 8th is the next date for our Caregiver's Night Out! The theme will be "Fall Harvest". We're going to be doing some fun fall crafts! Be sure to sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot! Cypress Creek EMS will be having a Craft Market & Health Fair on Saturday, October 29th and they've offered dfR to partner with them to have desperate for Respite's 1st "Accessible Festival"! We are so excited to be able to offer special needs families in our community the opportunity to ENJOY a Fall Festival! Funds raised will benefit the respite care programs, resources and supports that desperate for Respite provides to our community! We are now seeking sponsors for game booths, main attractions, entertainment & food! Please let me know if you or your business/organization are interested in supporting this excellent community event! This is a great opportunity to reach out to potential customers! The JOY Place is a unique facility built specifically for special needs children and adults. It is located inside Graceview Baptist Church. presents "Accessible Festival" concurrently with Craft Market & Health Fair Saturday, October 29, 2011 10am-3pm @ Cypress Creek EMS Cypress Creek EMS Bike Rodeo (including wheelchairs, wagons & strollers) Car Seat & Seat Belt check Police, Fire & Ambulance vehicles to explore Craft Market - Shop until you drop! If your family needs to enjoy our event with a little less noise, a few more accommodations and some extra helping hands then THIS is the fall festival for you! dfR volunteers will be there to "buddy up" with your family member so everyone can participate in the festivities! If you, your business or organization are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Tonya Frye for more information! 2011 National Lifespan Respite Conference November 1st - 4th, our Executive Director, Tonya Frye will be heading to Arizona to participate in, as well as present the "desperate for Respite" plan for community respite programs at the 2011 National Lifespan Respite Conference and Grantee Meeting!We need your help to send her to Glendale, Arizona for this important RESPITE event! We need sponsors to cover her travel expenses, (airfare, hotel, meals). desperate for Respite is staffed completely by volunteers, including our Executive Director. We save funds donated to and raised by dfR to support our community respite care programs that serve families in the Greater Houston area.
