dfr is excited to tell you about a few events that we have coming up this October! Be sure to check them all out because you definitely will not want to miss out on all the fun!

October 8th is the next date for our Caregiver's Night Out! The theme will be "Fall Harvest". We're going to be doing some fun fall crafts! Be sure to sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Cypress Creek EMS will be having a Craft Market & Health Fair on Saturday, October 29th and they've offered dfR to partner with them to have desperate for Respite's 1st "Accessible Festival"!

We are so excited to be able to offer special needs families in our community the opportunity to ENJOY a Fall Festival! Funds raised will benefit the respite care programs, resources and supports that desperate for Respite provides to our community!

We are now seeking sponsors for game booths, main attractions, entertainment & food! Please let me know if you or your business/organization are interested in supporting this excellent community event! This is a great opportunity to reach out to potential customers!

Everyone loves a Fall Festival! If your family needs to enjoy our event with a little less noise, a few more accommodations and some extra helping hands then THIS is the fall festival for you!

dfR volunteers will be there to "buddy up" with your family member so everyone can participate in the festivities!

Admission is free! Some games, special attractions and food items will be available at a minimal cost. All proceeds will benefit desperate for Respite!

2011 National Lifespan Respite Conference November 1st - 4th, our Executive Director, Tonya Frye will be heading to Arizona to participate in, as well as present the "desperate for Respite" plan for community respite programs at the

2011 National Lifespan Respite Conference and Grantee Meeting!We need your help to send her to Glendale, Arizona for this important RESPITE event! We need sponsors to cover her travel expenses, (airfare, hotel, meals).

desperate for Respite is staffed completely by volunteers, including our Executive Director.

We save funds donated to and raised by dfR to support our community respite care programs that serve families in the Greater Houston area. The National Respite Conference is a special event expense, benefiting dfR & Texas respite stakeholders, that we would like to cover! Would you please consider helping us?!
