Guest guest
We did something good in Marble Falls about six weeks ago. We did it in part to Gene's comments about taking and documenting several measures to verify ETT placement. We had a cardiac arrest patient, not from asthma though. The pt was successfully intubated. We verified correct tube placement by auscultation, seeing the tube go through the cords, condensation on the tube and noting the position of the tube at the pt's lips. Then we put the pt on a backboard and secured his head and redocumented tube placement. We checked and documented again and again in the ambulance. Thanx to for suggesting we recognize some good things that we do, and thanx to Gene for stressing documentation and learning from the good and bad things that we do. Unfortunately our efforts did not gain a successful outcome for this pt.
