After doing The Work many times, I

find the underlying postive and kind

thinking that was always there.

it is helpful to find 3 valid ways that

the thought is as true or truer than the

original belief. How fun that

your children's book also have that pointed out. :)

And, my " story " of you is that you are

a Very sweeet and generous person.

As far as I remember it was perhaps a

children book based on Buddha's

teachings that I had read. Among other

things it also talked about:

- When you think God has given you

a physical hardship, a discomfort

or an illness - think of many

physical discomforts, limitations and

diseases that the God has spared you

from! Think of the many ways in which

God has continued to BLESS you!

That book also had a story of Buddha

talking to his Bhikkhus to check if

they are ready to venture out:

Buddha asks,

you might visit a village where

villagers would give you no food to

eat. What would you do?

Bhikkhu replies,

they could have easily cursed me,

abused me, and said painful words to

me. I will thank them for being so kind to

not abuse me.

Buddha asks,

you might visit a village where

villagers might in fact abuse you and

say painful words to you. What would

you do?

Bhikkhu replies,

they could have easily beaten me

up. I will thank them for being so kind to

not beat me up.

Buddha asks,

you might visit a village where

villagers might in fact beat you up.

What would you do?

Bhikkhu replies,

they could have easily killed me.

I will thank them for being so kind to

not kill me.
