Guest guest
This has been talked about for the past three years, but current updates the (possible? likely?) elimination of Aspergers Syndrome from the DSM-V are few and far between. Some " official " sites I researched point to the elimination of Aspergers Syndrome in the DSM-V, along with " childhood disintegrative disorders " and others to be replaced with refined categories of autism spectrum disorders. This is the most recent article I could find, but the exact date it was posted is not certain. A google search seems to indicate it was posted on June 1, 2011. DSM-V to Exclude Asperger's, PDD-NOS, NLD in 2013; wait, what? http://lifedevelopmentinstitute.org/aspergers-syndrome/dsm-v-to-exclude-asperger\ s-pdd-nos-wait-what/ This is an older article from the end of last year: What's A Mental Disorder?
