Guest guest
Sorry guys, fogs been bad the past couple of days/weeks/months -- who knows how long - LOL. I know someone posted in a recent conversation about taking Elavil and possible interference with sexual function (or something like that). I just wanted to share and add my 1/2 cent. I was placed on Elavil about 8 mos ago. I noticed that I'd better not take it before sex if I wanted to have any desire at all. If I took it, I may still be able to participate, but with increased dryness and no chance of orgasm. I'd had other probs for the past couple of years, so really didn't think much of it. Even without taking the elavil before sex, more often than not I'd really not be interested in anything. Everything about sex was too difficult from getting aroused to having an orgasm - just not really worth it. I stopped my Elavil about 1 - 1 1/2 mos ago and MAJOR change. I have noticed that I get interested A LOT more often than before (doesn't mean that my body is able to perform, but that's beside the point). Kinda like " Honey, good news and bad news. The good news is I'm horny a lot more and seem to have a little more lubrication. The bad news is .... you still don't get any " . LOL It is actually a BIG surprise to me how much the Elavil changed things. While I was on it, I really didn't notice the difference, but once off of it -- it became quite noticeable. Sooooo.... I guess those " possible effects " are a definite. a
