Guest guest
This is not a great idea For People with Multiple Sclerosis, you can be depleted quite easily of things that you need. If you want to try fasting I would only do this a day at a time not real often. The benefit is from detoxification, you have to go slow, your body needs vitamins, minerals, enzymes to survive especially with multiple sclerosis. Guest guest
Hi Elize, I fast at least 2 times a year, but I make it a juice/tea/water fast or a fast using an anti-inflammatory shake. The longest fast I have been on is 21 days. I find it really helpful to heal my GI tract, kill off candida, and thouroughly detox. It is important that you get information about how to fast correctly because you can easily do more harm than good. If you follow proper fasting guidelines, and reintroduce food gently and systematically you can achieve a lot by removing food allergens and giving your liver & bowels a chance to heal and regenrate. Guest guest
Hi Elize I read once that it is important to take enemas during a fast. Otherwise your body will not be able to remove the toxins from itself. (Never use hot water.) (don't have MS) Szpak > Hi All > > Has anybody been on a fast and if so ,please tell me how long you fasted and > what kind of results have you had? > > I am on day 2 of what I want to be a 3 day water fast and while looking for > inspiration on the internet I came across a site that says that fasting is > not recommended for MS. Hi Elize I do a 'colon cleanse' http://www.mindtickler.com/misc/coloncleansing/coloncleansing.htm annually, in November. Mark, the guy who wrote the above site, is a friend of mine & he swears by it. I did it for 7 days when I first tried it, but I do it for 5 days now, with good results. I'd recommend it. -Dave
