Hm. Start using proper controls, maybe? None were mentioned.

Yes, I know it's " just " a magazine article, and/BUT there wasn't any

sort of way given to check up on the statements made, such as: " As

reported in {journal name & date} " . In my view, that's irresponsible

reporting. ...And way too common in the lay press.

My Research Methods prof said " validity and reliability. " Given that, part of

something being externally valid is the ability to repeat it time and time again

for it to be valid in the first place. Good observation.
