Guest guest
Well, a trip to urgent care has me back on a z pack and prednisone for a few days. My asthma didn't go completely bonkers but it's close to doing so. My sinuses are a mess and my ears have fluid behind the eardrums. The NP who saw me thinks it's all related to allergies. I am sensitive to ragweed and the weed pollen levels are high here. So, there goes my blood sugars for God knows how long. I'll be ok but please keep me in your prayers. Guest guest
Hi , I am sorry to hear you are back on prednisone. I have had a cough off and on for the last year + and my pulmonologist still doesn't know what is wrong with me. They have cultured what I cough up and it comes back normal and the only thing that helps is when I go on prednisone and I am trying to eat healthy so I don't gain any more weight. Our ragweed has been high here in Northern WI. My sinuses are so messed up that even they are reacting to ice tea drinks. I will be praying for you and everyone else that we get a sooner freeze so our allergies and asthma do not kick in. What state are you in? Guest guest
Hi woman. I had to take my daughter today as well. Are you sharing? LOL. She is on a zpack and out of school today and tomorrow, maybe longer. I am just trying to prevent her from sharing with me. For some reason all my docs freak out if I get a runny nose, and I sure don't want a bump either. Hang in there. Tis temporary. Guest guest
Thanks Jean. One of the ladies at church tonight asked me if I was ok. I told her about the sinus issues and stuff and she said I looked pale too. I think I'll make it but I hate feeling like this. I have school tomorrow so that's going to be interesting. I guess I'll be the little engine that could: I think I can, I think I can!! lolTo: asthma Sent: Wed, September 1, 2010 10:24:48 PMSubject: Re: Back on Prednisone Hi . sorry to hear you had to go back on these meds..ragweed and allergies here too..boy they can do a number on your sinuses. Guest guest
Thanks for the thoughts. I felt a little rough but I did make it to school. I'm glad I did because one of my instructors has made some nice changes in the way he teaches class and it's a great help. Some friends who took this class last semester told me I'd probably do well because of the changes. So far, the worst troubles I'm having at school are outside when the grounds people are cutting grass, and with students who wear perfumes/colognes that would knock an elephant on its butt. LOL Some of that stuff is potent enough to kill, it's so strong. Ok, I'm still a little stopped up but the pred is beginning to help some. Take care,To: asthma Sent: Thu, September 2, 2010 12:09:20 AMSubject: Re: Back on Prednisone aw , I feel for you. having allergies can take a lot out of you...add on top of this sinus infection and asthma and it just drains you..get some sleep, drink lots of water(this is the mother in me speaking,lol)..I hope you feel well enough to make school..correction....you WILL feel better tomorrow to go to school sending some possitive vibes your way, choo choo . jean > > Thanks Jean.
