Guest guest
my husband was admitted to the hospital today with pneumonia..he has been sick for a week but I couldn't get him to go in until today. My question is it normal for your blood pressure to drop with pneumonia? the reading was 98/60 and he normally has high blood pressure(160/98)highest and normally 137/87. I am a little concerned becasue he looks awful..his skin color and he was clammy...the hospital said this is normal for pneumonia but Im still worried. my mom(84) was sick for 4 days with what they said was pneu. she also was clammy and normally had high bp but it was low at her last dr appt..and he said not to worry...my mom passed away on the 4th day from congestive heart failure and I dont want to see this with my dh..the only difference is he is in the hospital and my mom was not admitted..am I being overly concerns becasue he is in the hospital and being watched. sorry for the long post but I dont know who else to ask. thanks. jean
