Guest guest
> I feel horribly, I haven't been doing my Tae Bo, or anything lately. Sorry things having been going so well for you. Sensing the very discouraged tone of your post, if I may, I will offer you a systematic approach... > I have gotten so busy, and I was on a trip visiting friends. I think > that I have gained back about 7 pounds. You think you have gained?? Sometimes we think we have gained more than we actually have, because guilt makes us feel heavier. So, first weigh yourself to find out if you have gained weight or not. Regardless of the outcome, you will know where you are going. I feel so yucky. I can't > seem to get motivated anymore, and I can't seem to keep myself eating > right. I will start the day off right, but then I will lose my self > control about the middle of the day when I start to get stressed out > about school (I just started college again after almost 5 years). Ok, that's pretty much what a lot of people go through, even myself. There are 2 explanations to this. First, as the day advances, most people feel more fatigued, and since feeling " hungry " is pretty much the same thing as feeling " tired " most will eat instead of rest. This is a BIG mistake. Sometimes, we have to exert some control, it takes practice and it takes discpline, but it is doable. The other thing that might be going wrong here is that you may be not be consuming enough calories in the beginning of the day and then feel overly hungry as the day advances. You have to balance out your meals during the day. Personally, I try spread out my caloric intake during the day, with a just slightly higher caloric supper, and I do pretty good in general. So, the next step is to find out which of these 2 situations (or it might be both) you fall into and do something about it. Also, I wanted to mention that I know what you are going through about the stress and school (I've been through the same thing myself lately) and it is quite normal. Do yourself a favor, you don't need to put additional pressure on yourself for losing weight. Focus first on maintaining your present weight, then when you feel comfortable with that, you can progress to focusing on losing. So that was the third step. Don't lose faith, you have got it in you, you just have to reach down inside and get it! :-) Janick

Janick who is bummed cuz she won't have time to get to taebo center in Toronto the weekend that she's there but if someone here wants to go and needs a place to stay, I will be all alone in my room all weekend, so I wouldn't mind sharing living spaces
