Guest guest Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Website Update Notice DADS has issued the following Provider Alerts or Bulletins: CBA, CLASS, HCS and MDCP Stakeholder Meeting to be Held in Austin on August 22, 2011 The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) is holding a meeting on Monday, August 22, 2011, at 9 a.m. in the H. Winters Building Public Hearing Room, held in room 125C & E, 701 W. 51st St., Austin, Texas. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and obtain feedback on DADS plan to implement cost containment initiatives in the Home and Community-based Services (HCS), Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS), Community Based Alternatives (CBA), and Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP) waiver programs. Effective December 1, 2011, DADS will apply service limits to certain services in CBA, CLASS, HCS, and MDCP and eliminate payments to providers for requisition and specification fees in CBA and CLASS (excluding requisition fees for CLASS specialized therapies). Agenda items will include DADS proposed communication to individuals and providers, and processes to be used to implement the service limits. Note: Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting, and who will need auxiliary aids or services, are asked to call the Center for Consumer and External Affairs at , three business days prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
