Guest guest Posted August 12, 2010 Report Share Posted August 12, 2010 My daughter who is an RN talked me into asking my doctor for a referral to an endocrinologist. He did so but she refused to prescribe natural thyroid for my hypothyroidism stating that there have been so many problems with natural thyroid that she just does not prescribe it any more. I have been taking it for decades and never had any problems with it. My own doctor will not prescribe Armour or Nature-Thyroid or Westhroid or any other " natural " thyroid because he said since I was seeing the endocrinogist he can no longer treat me for hypothyroidism. What do I do now? I am presently buying it from Inhouse Pharmacy (outside the U.S.) but if it becomes unavailed from that source what can I do?
