Just a leisurely swim for us: Make sure the swimmer can utilize all parts of the pool competently. This includes ladders, steps, a variety of depths, crowded or empty, or even the diving board. This competence will open up the whole pool for your swimmer to enjoy.Teach the swimmer some simple games such as diving for coins, catch in the water, tag in the water, handstands, jumping in, or even simple races. Channel your inner child or better yet, watch what the other kids are doing in the pool. These games can be a great way to organize your swimmer's time in the pool and keep them from just "hanging out".Go to different watering holes. Water parks, different pools, lakes, or the ocean each have same but different qualities that guides can ensure the swimmer is competent with.Read more...
