Char, you better start crawling around on the floor and baby proof everything before Teagan eats your house! LOL Kristy LeLeche League -the best Breastfeeding group out there has a pamplet that you can get for breastfeeding a child with Down Syndrome. I also am pumping! Teagan is 9 months now and I have been pumping since she was 1 month old. I'm hoping to go to 13 months. A lot of babies with down syndrome have poor sucking due to the low muscle tone. I was also trying to get help with a lactation consultant (insurance paid for it as long as it was in the hospital and I got a referral from the peditrician) .
