Guest guest
The renal toxicity from PEG seems to be paramount. This quick fix of drinking lemon juice/lemonade needs to be shouted to the world. The sad thought of all of the children who have taken a dose or two of Miralax at some point in their life, developing kidney stones later in life is another medical scenario we look to physicians to fix. The conundrum will continue to line the pockets of those most ill equipped to address the problem. Western medicine has let us down in so many ways. The major human adverse event related to high PEG exposure is renal toxicity. Renal toxicity has also been observed in the monkey at high dose, indicating that similar toxicities occur across species (Fruijtier-Polloth, 2005). http://dmd.aspetjournals.org/content/35/1/9.full
