Guest guest
My son is 15 with Aspergers and is looking at a long, lonely summer if I can't get him involved in something. Problem is that he is so reluctant to branch out. he has tried sports in the past and of course that is not for him but he doesn't want any physical activity. also, doesn't want to try and clubs or groups. He keeps thinking he will just have invites from friends like his brother (13) but, of course, his friend circle is very small. I feel the need to push him but he gets agitated and angry yet is miserable being stuck home doing nothing while we are working. His brother has lots of things going on all the time but he doesn't. Any suggestions on clubs or groups he could join? He is only interested in movies. He is pretty good at computers too. I have tried video classes in the past but there's always an issue for him (from his perspective) that he doesn't want to return either the instructor, other kids, instruction beneath or above him, etc. I can't just give up and let him sit home all day long zoning or surfing the web. Help! thanks!
