Guest guest
Help! I need info. Here is my situation: I am waiting for my MRI here in VT, scheduled for the end of June. I was going to go to Dr. Milhorat and have the surgery done by him. I really want to move back to the PacNW to be close to my daughter and grandchildren there, and had planned to leave like this weekend! That's stalled for the MRI, and I am in temporary living situation in the meantime. I'd like to go west, but I want to make sure I have a good neurosurgeon if it turns out I do have Chiari (pretty sure I do). To complicate things, I am on a timeline-- I only have insurance until January, when my Cobra runs out! I think I have heard a couple of people here mention Dr Rich Ellenbogen. He is the Chief of pediatric neurosurgery at University of Washington Med School. He also does adult Chiari patients. Have any of you been to him for either evaluation or surgery? What were your experiences? Anything that you felt set him apart in a positive way? Was there anything that made you feel uncomfortable about your experience with him? If he did your surgery (or your child's), how did things go? And how are you doing now? This is making me crazy. ok, crazier. Hope you can help. no, not make me crazier. too late for that anyway. I'm done gone over the edge already. ACK! Hugs, Dayle Ann eGroups.com home: /group/chiari www. - Simplifying group communications
