Hi Theresa

Great to meet another Aussie on-chat- that makes 4 of us ... (and apologise I misspelt your name before) I did suspect...!

I saw a different GP just b4 and after the 14 days IV in hospital (couldn’t get into see my usual)...she was stunned my own specialist didn’t visit once, not even a registrar – her comment was that it was a lot different where she came from (Vic originally then had a practice northern NSW). This is not only Qld, we’re far north....very regional, and the health care here....well, maybe there’s things I can’t legally say in a chat-group post such as this!

....

Cheers,

Joy

I have had a few "tune ups' in hospital. The nursing staff have commented a few times they my specialist hardly comes into see me. It doesn't actually bother me as it means everything is going as planned. I have only gone in once as an acute paitent. The other times have been pre planned admissions.

Keep well everyone. Theresa

Theresa,

I guess as new cysts were found, and I had lots questions, that this is only 2nd time IV. I had been assured I’d to be able to have picc-line and go home, not stay so long as in-patient, so it was frustrating getting a donkey of a junior who just didn’t have a clue....and stuck for the full 14 days..

Hence my change of specialist...and for other reasons too. Both were organised admissions, though not planned much in advance (hours), still 8-9 hours in A & E regardless.... Part of my antipathy to hospitals is, as I already mentioned, had way too much early in life. Better luck next time !

Cheers all
