Guest guest
Funny but my grandmother couldn't have kids and she went to a docotor. And he gave her a " thryoid shot " and then she conceived. Weird old tale eh? It had to be 1930 or so.... -sue D. topper2@... wrote: > The pills are legal.. Guest guest
Funny thing about an improved thyroid----the ovaries do what they're supposed to! Has it been a long time since you were able to get pregnant, and suddenly you are? How long have you been on thyroid medication? (That's what nutrimeds is, you know, even if it isn't prescription.) And a lot of doctors will pull a fit about this, but they don't seem to know that there's anything but Synthroid when they react like this. Could we get a little more info on you? pregnancy has anyone ever gotten pregnant using these thyroid pills... i am on the nutri-meds.. and just found out i'm expecting.. i am not doctoring.. have no insurance.. i'm just wondering.. what will dr say when i tell him i'm taking these nutri-meds?? Guest guest
a little more info on me... well i am 44 years old... i have been pregnant ....15 times.. i have only 5 children.. all my miscarriages have been in the past 8 years... only one dr. tested me for thyroid, one time, at 8 weeks of preg. found it to be normal.. but i miscarried a few weeks after that... in all my pregnancys my basil temp hits 98.6, stays there for a time.. ( weeks or months), then all of a sudden, it drops, then in a few days i miscarry.. it happens everytime.. but i never connected the two... i have not miscarried this time yet.. but wham-o my temp dropped this morning to 98.0.......... even yesterday i noticed my temp wouldn't hit 98.6 all day long.. it stayed at 98.3... i knew i was in trouble.. i have been on the nutri-meds for two months now, taking 4 tabs a day split in 1/2 doses every two tho three hours.. my temp has been staying pretty even for about a month now... but it still wasn't at the optmum 98.0 basil yet... (until i ovulated and got pregnant)... so i figured i wasnt at my optmum dose yet... i figure i need to increase my dose but i'm not sure how much as i don't want ot throw myself into hyper... i cann't see a dr. for a few weeks yet.. anything can happen in that time. i hope i have explained my self pretty well... i have 5 children, but my husband and i adore children and would delight in haveing more...but the old clock i am afraid is ticked out...thanks ladies > Funny thing about an improved thyroid----the ovaries do what they're supposed to! Guest guest
How are you doing on supplements...? Selenium helps with conversion of T4 to T3.. helps to keep your system more even... tabs are usually 200 mcg.... chop the tabs into quarters and take them either with meals or with your thyroid... swallow them though... sublingual isn't an advantage and they taste nasty. Don't take calcium or iron near you thyroid dose times..... Vitamin C helps with thyroid absorption and is another supplement you can safely take in smaller doses several times a day to keep the levels in your blood stream up.... Since you're going to be seeing a doc in a few weeks and getting labs.. and since you've not been on thyroid for very long yet.. it might not be wise to increase your dose of thyroid again so soon.. by adding some supplements to help the meds work better.. you may be able to tweak your temp up a bit without endangering your baby. These should help the OTC thyroid that you're taking now work a tad better without actually increasing the hormone that you are taking in right now.... Let us know what supplements you are taking and your schedule.. lets see if any of us spot anything and can make suggestions....
