Guest guest
I am in Washington state and I am also on medicaid and dissability, so I think it depends on where and what state you live in. mary -- Re: Interferon side effects~****** , How do you know interferon is doing any good? "So I cant imagine placebo's being used unless its in a medical facility. And it isnt costing the insurances this expensive medicene." Who perscribed the interferon if not a medical facility or Dr.? And just who is picking up the tab for this? I am inquiring as I have appealed my insurrance company to reconsider allowing me this drug, as they said NO the first time my Pulnonary Dr. perscribed it. Thsnk you for the info....God bless and continue to have His healing hand on you. ~Ginger~ House Mouse Images Copyrighted Animated by jeanne DO NOT RIP
Guest guest
Ginger you are an awesome person. This is so beautifully written.. Thank You.. How are you doing? I hope better. I'm praying for you. We had a wonderful service this morning and I had a real good prayer for our group, and your feet and stamina. God Bless and comfort you Ginger... Peggy 9/04 ipf TongueDancer2U@... 09/04 ipf Carol, Is there the possibility of changing Drs. or being referred to a specialty Dr. such as a Pulmonary (lung) Dr.?communication lines open between you and the Dr. Tell your Dr. your feelings about the treatment and that if he is grasping at straws, to please refer you to someone who may specialize in the treatment of PF. Carol, in situations like all of ours, friends and family really don't know what to do, therefore, often do nothing out of fear of doing the wrong thing. Call upon those close to you for help. It is my experience that all most people want, is to be needed and loved. Let those in your circle of friends or loved ones know you need them and their help. Let them know what you specifically need from them or how they can be of the greatest help to you in caring for your precious hubby. If you belong to a local church, make them aware of your situation and need. I know it is an humbling experience, but you would be surprised how often people long to help others and just need to be asked. With summer here, possibly a teenager could come by a couple times a week and help with the animals, yard, or any chores that would help you out. Rest is very important, Carol, rest in body and mind. This a long journey and you will need your strength...and he will too. Reach out and feel the love, prayers, support and strength this group sends to you. May God fill you with His love and joy, as it is the Joy of the Lord that IS our strength. Prayers and love, ALWAYS from all of us. kiss kiss, ~Ginger~ IPF-9/
Guest guest
It's been a busy weekend...son graduating from HS, parties, bbq's, dinners, me feeling bad, and fighting a bug I've caught...smile. Feet are still swelling...especially the left one. I am elevating it nightly and can feel it go down. But seems like as soon as I get on my feet for an hr or so, the swelling begins. Rheumatologist seemed to think it is the prednisone...as a 2D heart scan ruled out heart problems...so as you all know, she cut my dosage back. But the swelling has continued. Primary wants to do a check on the kidneys with a 24 hr. urine catch kept on ice and a blood test when sample is turned in, thinking that may be a possible cause. I will do that Thusday. Going torest a few days. Youngest son leaves Wednesday for East Texas. So hard....He is my baby. He has a job there. This will be an emotional week for me...as best friend and their family are moving to East Texas, too. Keep me in your prayers please. love you all. kiss kiss, ~Ginger~ IPF-9/
Guest guest
Ginger, I think it's hardest when the "baby" goes. The day we dropped our "baby" off at college and came home....it was so traumatic. It was the first time in years that our phone was not ringing off the hook or music blaring through the house. We gad three daughters and this was a lively place for a long time. It wasn't long, however, before it became lively again with 7 grandkids. That will happen to you, too. Before you know it! Life goes on. I know that you will miss him.....and I bet he is going to miss you too. A hard thing for a kid to do. Will he be with friends or family? Having your friend move at the same time must also be hard. My friend is out of the country right now and I just miss her cheery morning calls so much. Let me know what the doc says. I am so glad they have ruled out the heart as the problem. I never had swelling with prednisone....and I am a long time user. . . but we are all different. Take care of you. You are invaluable to us here.
