I just want to thank you jeanie for all your tireless work in making this horrible problem known, and Carol, for helping to move things to the next level. So many people have been affected and don't even know about it.

I can't keep up on this list, as I am just overwhelmed with email. Has anyone considered posting an ad somewhere to gather numbers of other families who have been harmed by this product? I remember a while back someone talking about Dr Phil or Dr Oz or other tv venues. But what about a print ad or a blogger campaign? I don't know if this has already been tried, but I think it would have a big impact.

Best wishes!

Can anyone help me find the letter that was sent to one of our members from the manufacturer that stated NOT to give to children. It was an off brand company? I foget who sent it?

Carol, the company, braintree labs used to state not to give to children, it's in the original packaging I have them but once it went over the counter the adjusted the dose to pediatric doses, I believe?

We are putting a letter together right now for the FDA from the Empire State Consumer Project, Inc. We are trying to gain attention to this problem. I can say with most certainty, that if this aired once, people would come by the millions! To: "miralax " <miralax >Sent: Wed, December 14, 2011

I absolutely agree with the letter to the FDA. Just I think that such things (as you've posted on the list) often get buried under the rug (look at all the drugs that take years to be pulled off the market even after deadly side effects are proven). So I'm talking in addition to this tactic, to take it to the public. What about MomsRising? I would be happy to forward the letter to them once it is written.

Posting an ad in a big newspaper like the New York Times with an exact copy of the letter written to the FDA (a public :cc) or a copy of the letter on a petition site, i believe is crucial for this not to be hidden. However, you can expect to be sued by miralax and its parent company in doing so. So haveing a non-profit or some other group like the Empire State Consumer Project do the posting is also going to be crucial for everyone's protection from future harrassment. Our legal system is so messed up.

I am so sad to hear moer and more stories on this group. But very grateful that peopel ARE coming forward and making this issue known.

Best wishes!
