For those that want to be involved... but don't know how to embroider...

we'll get you set up with a simple cross stitch design that will be part

of the quilts border pieces.. that way everyone gets to contribute....

Lets have everyone put their initials and locations on the bottom....

first your initials... then your state/province.. the your country... so

for me it would be:

LE/MN/USA

The idea of quilting and embroidering sounds like extreme concentration to me. I don't know how to quilt OR embroider.

Hi everyoneThe idea of the quilt seems to be getting great reviews already and we haven't even started. Now the blocks should be 6"x6" and can be either painted or embroidery. Come on guys..this is for a great cause, you can put anything you want on it plus add your intitials and location on it.Gloria

You could paint something on the square...it is easy and doesn't need to look professional or anything, I mean I can't draw a straight line either. The idea is is that you would make up a square and send it to me, then I will make the quilt....even if it were a smiley face..that would be great.

That's true.. the point is to have folks from all over contribute.. to show that we are all over.... Even just a pretty square of fabric with your ID in the corner.. would work.... You could even do that with a permanent fabric marker and a little patience to do the lettering! hehehehe

, I sent a very long letter to Shoman, in the hope that it might very well help someone else. I've seen a whole lot of info here and there about the two possibly being connected in some way. I would be more likely to believe that the "first phase", as I call it, of Hashimoto's, (the hyperthyroid phase), is the culprit here. I'm not saying that ALL bipolar persons are hidden thyroid patients, but I do believe that some or many are. It goes to reason. The brain chemistry and every single cell in the entire body is changed or haywire when the thyroid is out of whack. I will never mind admitting any of this to anyone, if it will help someone get diagnosed. Graves' patients I can't say, even though they are hyperthyroid, because I haven't been there. I would assume that those are the same symptoms that I had when I lost down to 113 lbs and ran around a track day and night like a rat in a cage, and could never find enough to do, yet, could not concentrate on anything for very long. It's like looking back at someone else. Then, when I went hypo, it was completely opposite. I am learning that not everyone's experience is the same, but I see an awful lot of parallels.

Re: RE: Quilting blocks

cute! heheheheheheheh

Now that you bring it up.. I've been reading that being bi-polar can also be a symptom of hypothyroid.... do you know any info that you can share on that?

I was diagnosed bi-polar and borderline personality about 5 years before they discovered I was hypo. I never thought of there being a correlation before.

Lotsa love and laughter,

L.

Hi ,,, I am 'Graves' ,,rx 82,,, RAI Hypo now ,,, Yes it is very much the same,,, the hyper had me running around but weak... Eating every thing in sight,,, but loosing down to 170# and I am 6'5" ,,,now hypo and much bigger and hard to take any off... It's like looking back at someone else. Yes it is !!! it is like having the memories and they don't feel like they are mine,,, You hit the nail on the head there... I am not sure even what bi-polar is but the thyroid messes up the brain as you said and I have had my share of that ... Add Sleep Apnea and what is left of the brain gets messed up too ,,, I am lucky to be alive... Be Well BoB Re: RE: Quilting blocks cute! heheheheheheheh Now that you bring it up..
