Guest guest
After being treated so wonderfully through Apple I am astounded by how horribly we have been treated by ADT securities. We decided to get an alarm system but a few days after enrolling we realized that it wasn't a good idea. The beepings and heaven forbid a false alarm would send my little chaos maker over the edge. We cancelled our instillation appointment and assumed our check would be shredded. Yesterday we found that they took the money out of our bank account anyway...twice. It overdrafted our account in a major way. I have called every person in the company that I could get my hands on and basically we were told that they'd cut us a check in 7-10 business days. The local sales manager hung up on my husband after telling him he wouldn't speak with him anymore and that anything we needed to say we should e-mail. I called the corprate offices looking for help and was treated no better. I was sobbing on the phone and told them that I have a family to care for and we have two little kids and one of them has special needs and that basically I had the 10-15 dollars in my wallet to get us through until next Friday. I can't have NO money for the next two weeks, espically with my Adam. There are things in his daily routine that just can't be changed with out MAJOR upset. Let's not forget the silly things like Gas and food...my kids like food a lot. They'd be quite upset if we quit feeding them. I think CPS would have a thing or two to say about it as well. The guy in the " customer care/customer escalation department " told me that he hadn't seen his son in six years...so that was just to damn bad. He then said " my boss is the president of the company so there really isn't anyone else you can speak with " . He was sending out an e-mail and someone might get back to me in 24-48 hours. I was told by ADT would cut us the check for the amount they took out. I asked about the 70 dollars in over draft fees and he said it wasn't ADT's fault that we didn't have enough money in our account and we were going to have to eat it. I told them I was going to scream this from the hills. So this is going to every corner of the internet I can put it. Luckily I have wonderful parents who were more than happy to loan us the money to make it trough till pay day, thank goodness! I'm not letting this one go. I am going to make it the central pre-occupation of my life to make sure everyone know what a nasty company ADT is...might I also add that we are also fighting another automatic draft that is supposed to come out in a couple weeks for monitoring service...the one we didn't even have installed but it's still set to go through anyway. These people are like a rash.
Guest guest
Sara, The company who processes their bank drafts is required by law to give your money back to you if you request it. Go to your bank and tell them that the charges were not authorized and they should be able to get the money back in your account right away. You don't have to wait for ADT to process your refund. Guest guest
YOU GUYS ARE MY HEROES!!!! I can not thank you enough for you're support, tweets and advice. We found a helpful person at the bank that was able to reverse one of the charges because it was a bank draft but the check was unstoppable so unfortunately we have to wait for them to send us a check in return. My parents loaned us enough to not only make it through the next couple weeks comfortably but also to put enough into the bank to keep it from overdrafting!!! Thank God for great parents!!! Anissa got back me in touch with a supervisor she worked with at the ADT offices in Austin and he couldn't have been nicer and started looking for people to help immediately. I got a call from a higher up yesterday and he was extremely helpful. He also sounded mortified that we were treated so poorly and said he was going to go listen to the tapes to find out who spoke to us. I was assured that it would be taken care of and we'd be called next week. You'd think people would learn to not tangle with Warrior Moms/Dads. We wake up with boots on ready to fight. I warned them that I was going to scream this from the hills and I am so very grateful for the echos of you guys behind me. We didn't ask for a dime that wasn't taken from us. We didn't threaten to get lawyers to sue for millions of dollars. All we wanted was our money back. There is nothing that can happen to undo the past week of dealing with all this crap. I really hope that the next time when someone calls in and says " you've made an error and drained our bank account " they will be stumbling all over each other to remedy the situation immediately and someone will offer a genuine apology for the stress that it involved. I can't thank you guys enough. You are all so awesome!!!!!! > > After being treated so wonderfully through Apple I am astounded by how horribly we have been treated by ADT securities. > > We decided to get an alarm system but a few days after enrolling we realized that it wasn't a good idea.
