Guest guest
, I took my 1st dose (50mg) last night. The Dr. is increasing my dose in 3 day increments. I got a good night sleep for the first time in days and it SEEMS like my pain is less. I was wondering, if my pain does decrease can I just stay on that dose, instead of increasing it re: Dr's orders? I don't want to take more than I need. >I didnt tolerate it either due to water weight gain. As for pain relief, for >me, it was no better than the Neurontin. I felt bloated while on the Gabapentin. And my pain definitely got worse! I was off it for several days before starting the Lyrica. I'm worried about weight gain but I'll discuss that with the Dr. when I see him in 2 weeks, if I feel like I've gained. The LAST thing I need to more pounds on me. >I am wondering if that is what is causing your pain to increase, increased >pressure on the nerves from water weight? I'm going to talk to several other Dr's I have to get their opinions. I still don't totally trust the pain guy I'm seeing. >As for them not affecting the liver...cough. ..BS...cough. ..dont believe it >dear. My doc swore they didnt either yet for some odd and unexplainable reason >while I was on it my liver became enlarged. I don't trust him because he was very condescending when I told him the Gabapentin made my pain worse. I asked if he thought I was lying and he started backpedaling. lol! >I honestly don't understand why docs are so adamate that these drugs have NO >side effects...its such a crock. If the Lyrica does help, I'm going to do as much with my Wii as possible. Knowing weight gain is a big side effect, I can (hopefully) prevent more than I already have. >The Wii does sound like a lot of fun I'm glad you found something that works >for you Jodi
