Guest guest Posted May 30, 2005 Report Share Posted May 30, 2005 Hi, I've been doing some studying and observing in my own life and I wonder - can taking pain medication over a period of time make your pain worse and if so - what in the world do you do about it??? I have taken medicine for pain for my feet for about ten years starting with milder things and now taking narcotics. It seems since I " upped " my dosage of the medicine about three weeks ago, my pain has increasingly become way worse! Is there a reason for this? I really thought by increasing the dosage my pain would go away more often - it hasn't. It's far worse and I'm really confused and depressed.
