Guest guest
I have been trying to get my operative and pathology reports for a couple of weeks now. I got a call yesterday and they told me that after 10 years they destroy the records (I had my TL in January of 1991). Any suggestions? Guest guest
I tried with the hospital and they said they destroy all records after 10 years. My sister is a nurse and knows the people in medical records, so they double checked to see if maybe mine had not been destroyed yet, but they have. Guest guest
Thanks, I did and they said that they also throw away the records after 10 years, I asked the nurse to check for me and she did, she said that since I have been coming to the same clinic (different dr.) for my pap smears that they still have the report and I could pick it up any time. I still won't believe it till I see it. Tisa --- Sherri Garrett wrote: > Check with the doctor, you'll find they store their > old records (or so I > believe). Guest guest
Tisa it had been 12 years since my TL and the hospital where I had mine done still had the reports. So that isn't a policy that all hospitals use. You might want to give it another try you might reach a different employee that knows what's going on. :-) When I first called for mine they couldn't find them and I demanded " YOU HAVE TO FIND THEM " hahaha That women got on the ball and called back 2 hours later saying she had found them. Dr Levin may also know what you can do about it. Good Luck, Donna --- tisasheart@... wrote: > I have been trying to get my operative and pathology > reports for a > couple of weeks now.
