Guest guest
Hi I have had this procedure done. Be sure to call the Dr. office before the procedure and ask if they are going to put you into a " twilight " bascically you are aware of the Drs. and nurses talking and you should only be feeling the " pressure " of what is going on in your neck. The test for me was, they put me flat on the gurney (on my back) which really hurt the back of my neck, then they wheel you into the " room " the Dr will then explain what will be happening, for me he put 3 18g needles into the front of my neck and injected some kind of dye right into my damaged disks, as he is lookng into an xray that is showing him what is going on. He will be watching to see if the dye that is injected " leaks " out of the disks. After he is done you will be put into recovery. The reason why i say to make sure you are put into a " twilight " is i have heard from others that they were not medicated at all! For me i don't remember too much just alot of pressure, but in my case the Dr came into recovery and said " C3-C4-C5 were all bad, yet C4 was torn in 1/2 so the dye did not stay in the disk at all, the Dr said i was screaming when he touched C4 with the needle (thank God i don't remember this) He was also the 1st Dr to tell me i will never be ale to be repaired, due to too much damage. If you have any more ????'s please ask away. I may just be having another one sometime this year. Also make sure you get a copy of the actual xrays along with the actual report from your referring Dr.
