Guest guest
What risk is there with volcanic ash and asthma? (I'm thinking Mike might be able to answer this!) A volcano erupted last night in Iceland, and there is a cloud of volcanic ash currently moving down through northern Europe. It hasn't reached where I am yet (in the centre of England), but all of Scotland's airports are shut, and almost all flights have been grounded, so it's obviously quite bad. The BBC website has a map showing where the ash is, and at the moment, it's only over the north of Scotland (and including where I used to live), but it is predicted to move down the country, though they are not sure how far and how much it will dissipate as it moves down. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8621444.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8621407.stm Jenn Tha can tek t'lass outta Yorkshire...! Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. I'll be who I want to be, and I'm proud to be me.
