"I can't be sure what's wrong with you," the doctor said. "I think it's the drinking." "Okay," the patient said. Guest guest
Welcome to the list Connie. I'm glad you're a fellow pet lover. They sure to help to ease our pains and frustrations with their unconditional love. I have 5 cats and 1 golden retriever (all rescues). Looking forward to getting to know you better too. welcoming hugs, Norah (the one with the zoo) Good Morning Good morning everyone, My name is Connie and I was diagnosis with fibro, in the early 70s or 80s. I also have lupus and many auto-immune related health problems. I am 56 years young, and reside in WV. I have been totally disabled since 1995 due to lupus. I have tried many times to return to work, Aries can be stubborn, smile. I have 2 dogs that own me, Checkers, age 17 and Peanut [the real boss] age 4 or 5. Yesterday I rescued a 8 week old cockatiel from the Bird santutary. Having had a cockatiel before she will be the real boss. I have a lovely adult daughter and two terrific teenage grandsons. This has been a horrible week for me. On Monday a visit to my doctor for tests results, resulted in the scheduling of biospies in both lungs for nodules, a trip to the OB/GYN to be checked for cervical cancer [note often nodules in the lungs are mastazied cervical cancer]. I have to have two tumors removed sometime in the next few weeks. But the worse thing of all was a friend hurt me deeply and I do not understand why. I look forward to getting to know you! Guest guest
Morning Margaret, I cant sleep waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw, oh how I hate this. Sleeping in 2 hour intervals. Mmmm, Im not on medication, but I do that always with aspirin. I can never rememeber if I had actually taken them or not. Sometimes Ill wait and wait and wait , sometimes I dont. I Hate that. Something needs to be invented for us dont you think so ? Surely others have problems with remembering if they took their meds or not. The problem is always remembring to do what that reminds you though. I remember reading a book once about pain, and how some people dont feel it and can seriously hurt themselves because they cant feel pain. They can wear shoes that are too small till they completely ruin their feet, stick their hands in fire and burn them off cause they cant feel it. They said us humans have such a way of learning to ignore things. They had tried experiments with people with things that made noise to warn them, but you know it began to irritate them the noise they learn to shut it off, and hurt themselve s anyways. Strange beings we are I was doing flylady routines so well for a long time. Dont know what happened to me, suddenly I lost it. I still have a list here , but you know I have to remember to look at it, so I forget, and if Im not feeling well, well the whole routine goes down the pooper too . Im hoping I can go back to sleep again soon, its 4 am, and I have things I need to do today.......... I dont wanna be tired again.... Have a nice day Margaret! I didn't think I took my percocet and so I took them again (It would have been a time period of about 10 minutes!) all the sudden I felt better, and it usually takes about 10-15 minutes for my percs to kick in, which means I DID take it about 10minutes earlier. Oh well,it's been nice knowing you all! haha. I'll be fine, seriously. I've done it before. ANy tricks that you guys use to remember that you've taken your meds and when you need to take them again??? I guess I should get one of those pill dispensers but I would forget to fill it! haha. I only know of the dispensers that give you one space a day. I need one that has about 5 spaces a day. whatever. I'll live. I have to mark a quilt today so I have something to take with me when we go to the shore for our vacation next saturday. I plan on taking it with me while the boys swim in the ocean with my dh. It may be hot on my lap but I enjoy hand quilting so much. I think it will be alright. I hope we have better weather for our vacation week than we had this week. It was raining or cold every day this week. Well, gonna run. Have to unload the dishwasher. I have been keeping my kitchen spotless this week; having an empty dishwasher in the morning, cleaning my sink till it shines, wiping up anything that spills, clearing off the table and making sure it stays that way; etc. Well, yesterday the dishwasher didnt' get emptied so there are dishes on the table and in the sink. ugh. It's funny how quickly you can get into a habit; good or bad one! Have a good day all. Will chat later. Guest guest
Good Morning to Margaret and Everyone, I know that I lurk, but I usually don't have anything to say. Margaret, one thing I do about my medicine is turn the bottles upside down after I take them out. That way I know at a glance that I did take them. My problem is remembering how much Tylenol I have taken during the day. I have tried writing it down, but my children tend to take the pad of paper and use it for writing themselves. What kind of quilt are you making? I'm still cutting out one quilt of 3x3 in. squares. It will be for my bed (queen), so I have a lot of cutting to do. I'm hand sewing a denim quilt for ds1. The boys and I are taking out the carpet in the laundry room. The previous owner had pets and after the carpet got soaked, we could smell it. So, we got the carpet out and are now working on getting the tile out as well. I will put some new tile in later. Well, I need to be getting busy. We are going to the Irish Festival later and I have some housework to get done. Guest guest
ohhh, I wanna go to the Irish festival with you!! Where are you??? Maybe I can drop in on you! haha. I'm making a floral quilt. I just went to the fabric store and got 1/4 yard of 15 different florals (real pretty ones), cut 5 1/2 " blocks (finished it will be 5 " blocks). I put them all together and put a small 3 " white border on it and then a 4 1/2 " floral border. I did it all in one day over my friends house (5 hours without children; you can get alot accomplished). I'm trying to mark it before vacation on Saturday so I can hand quilt it while I'm down there. I love to hand quilt. It's so relaxing. Well, have a good day. (yeah, right! If we can stay awake!!) ) Margaret, Mom to the monsters Re: Good morning Good Morning to Margaret and Everyone, I know that I lurk, but I usually don't have anything to say.
